Startup Avalanche Biotechnologies Inc. and biologics manufacturer Lonza Group Ltd. inked a deal that will help Avalanche -- and possibly other companies -- produce drugs for clinical trials and more.
Financial terms of the manufacturing deal weren't disclosed.
San Francisco-based Avalanche said the collaboration will focus on process development and scale-up efforts for making adeno-associated viral vectors for gene therapy.
