Luminex to buy Hayward's GenturaDx for $50 million

Luminex Corp. will buy molecular diagnostics company GenturaDx Inc. of Hayward for $50 million cash.

GenturaDx is developing an automated, real-time PCR system that Austin, Texas-based Luminex (NASDAQ: LMNX) said will make fast, high-quality molecular diagnostics available to hospitals. The system should be available commercially by early 2014,Luminex said Monday.
